The EBLIDA Expert Group on Information Law wrote to the following European Commissioners on 19 June 2008 to state that we strongly disagree with Internal Market & Services Commissioner Charlie McCreevy's proposals to extend the term of copyright protection in sound recordings (and performances in them) from the current 50 years to 95 years: - Janez Potocnik (Science and Research); - Viviane Reding (InfoSoc).
